Hey folks
I'm very happy to report that the FreePhotoguides project has been reborn!!!!
Lee Duguid has done something that I didn't have time to do, he has migrated most of the content from the Google Knols and moved them onto a new Wordpress platform. So, if you have been missing the Photoguides, have no fear.... here they are!

Australiana Pioneer Village - Wilberforce
Huh! I never even knew this place existed.... nor where Wilberforce was for that matter. Please find a photographers guide to the Australiana Pioneer Village. This guide comes to us from Gary Simmonds (thanks Gary). So for those of you that love shooting old towns, buildings etc. Check out this guide.

Mount Panorama
I went to my first Bathurst 1000 (or whatever the hell they call it now), when i was about 19 years old. I used to love the duels between Brocky and Johnson and Moffat... those were the days....
Here's a great guide from Peter Yandle on photographing Mount Panorama. Looks like an interesting place to shoot without all the action going on..... slightly ghost-town like.
Enjoy Peter's guide to photographing Mt. Panorama at Bathurst.
The Iconic Three Sisters
Well it's kind of surprising that it has taken this long for somebody to do a guide on the iconic 3 sisters. Thanks Richard Wong for completing a guide to this beautiful spot. It's great to see more guides coming from the Blue Mtns.... Such a great place to go and photograph. Please check out Richard's guide to the Three Sisters.

Blue Mountains - Victoria Falls
It was funny to see a new photoguide for a site in the Blue Mountains as I'm shooting there next Saturday (coincidence eh). I haven't been to Victoria Falls, but this looks like an interesting place to explore... I might have to do a scouting trip this weekend while I am there.
Big thanks to Peter Yandle for taking the time to write up this excellent guide. So, if you love waterfalls, then be sure to check out Peter's guide to Victoria Falls.

Take your landscape photography to the next level
Hey guys n gals
For any of you that want to take your landscape or seascape photography to the next level, I have a few spaces available in my next workshop called "Bringing Models into your scapes".
You will learn everything you need to know to bring off camera flash lighting into your location shoots.
The next workshop is in Sydney on 15th May 2011.
You can find out more information about the workshop here. Spaces are limited, so first come first served.
Happy Easter to everybody, the forecast looks great for some seascape photography, so you'll probably find me out on some rocky outcrops in Sydney.
Take care

Austinmer Beach
Here's a new guide to a place that I have had my eye on for a couple of years now (still haven't made it down there). It's Austinmer beach on the South Coast. I've seen a few pictures from here and it looks like a cracking location. Please check out Steve Arnold's excellent photoguide to this stunning location.
Enjoy the photo guide to Austinmer Beach

North Malabar Valley
Here's a great new guide from Suren J and Gerry Blacklock. As I was reviewing this guide I realised that this is one of the places I've been planning on shooting. A couple of my buddies set out to shoot this location but couldn't find the track down. It looks great, I think I'm going to put this on my list to do before Xmas. So click here to check out this great new guide.

New Guide - South Head
Here's another guide from Rachael Muller. This one is for South Head. I love the light house there, this is definitely a spot that I'm going to check out sometime soon. Could be good for some night photography too. Thanks for this guide Rachael.

New Workshop - Off Camera Flash On Location
Hey landscape/seascape enthusiasts.
I'm very excited to announce a new workshop that will push your photography into new areas. I've just finished designing a workshop called.
While my background has been seascape and landscape photography, I've really enjoyed branching out to include models in my scapes. This workshop will teach you how to use strobist techniques to light models in your landscapes. Click this link to find out more about the workshop.

10.10.10 Sleepout for Homeless
Hey folks
This isn't strictly photography related, but it's still a good cause and worth publicising. On 10th October I'm joining hundreds of others and sleeping out in Centennial Park to raise money for Mission Australia who help thousands of homeless people every night.
I was shocked to learn that each night there are over 100,000 people sleeping rough in Sydney and almost half of these are under 25.
How can you help?
Two ways, sign up and come and join me for the sleepout (you can sign up here)
or
Make a small donation by clicking this link.
Anybody that comes out to sleep out can come photograph with me, I'll run a free night photography ad-hoc workshop. There should be lots of interesting things to shoot (buskers, people camping out, sleeping rough etc.)
I started the Freephotoguide site as a free resource for photographers. If you have found this site useful, then perhaps you could find a few dollars to support this really worthwhile cause.
Thanks

Royal National Park
I have to confess, this is one part of Sydney that I haven't really photographed at all. Perhaps because I live on the Northern perimeter and this is on the Southern Perimeter... However after checking out some of the images and beautiful landscapes in this photo guide I think I'm going to have to make a greater effort to get down there.
Graham Grocott has done a fine effort in putting together this guide. I hope you enjoy a Photographer's guide to the Royal National Park
